Mr. Bell is a Cool Teacher!

WGVU has recognized excellence in the classroom for over 20 years. One of the ways that they recognize teachers is through the WGVU Cool Teacher Contest. Students from all over the area can submit nominations to be accepted into the contest.

Teachers who are nominated for this award are dedicated, creative and resourceful. They work diligently each day to have a positive impact in the lives of their students and within their communities.

This year, Kish from Mr. Bell’s 4th grade classroom submitted a nomination about how awesome and fun Mr. Bell is in his classroom.

WGVU Public Media selected him as a Cool Teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year!

They arrived on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 donuts in hand for a class party to celebrate Mr. Bell! They also conducted a photo-shoot and interviews.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled for Mr. Bell and the New Branches community to be nominated for the Cool Teacher award,” commented Terry Larkin, principal of New Branches. “The kids love Mr. Bell and he truly is a cool teacher.”
