PBIS: Positive Behavior Intervention Support
PBIS is an evidence-based three-tiered framework for improving and integrating all of the data, systems, and practices that affect student outcomes every day. It's a way to support everyone to create the kind of school where all students are successful. This program is a commitment to addressing student behavior through system change. We want to equip our teachers and students with the tools to create positive classroom culture, and PBIS allows us to do that.
The big ideas we emphasize in this program are as follows:
- Identify and define behavior expectations
- Teach behavior expectations
- Monitor expected behavior
- Acknowledge and encourage behavior expectations
- Use data for decision making.

Students Receive Hive Bucks Every Week!
Students that follow the expectations set in the program will be rewarded with points that they can cash in for prizes and trinkets at school. Three times a year we will present our winners, with plenty of exciting surprises in store.
